April 24th 2025: Prism Sound is pleased to announce that SADiE6 is now freely available to everyone. As we bring development to a close, our primary focus is to support our dedicated user base while also opening the doors for new users to explore the powerful capabilities of this industry-renowned software.

For decades, SADiE has been trusted by mastering engineers, classical recordists, podcasters, and broadcast professionals, with its tools shaping workflows at leading organizations such as the BBC and Radio France. By making SADiE6 freely accessible, we aim to ensure that its legacy continues and that both long-time users and newcomers alike can benefit from its unparalleled precision in recording, editing, and production.

SADiE hardware was phased out several years ago, and while the software has continued to serve a committed community, we must acknowledge the practical limitations of further development. Prism Sound’s Sales Director, Mark Evans, reflects, “As one of the original members of the SADiE team, this is a bittersweet moment for me. It’s incredible to know that more people will now have access to this powerful software, but it’s also the end of an era. SADiE has been at the heart of so many incredible productions, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who has trusted it over the years.”

Effective March 1, 2025, SADiE6 will no longer receive new feature updates, and official support will wind down. However, Prism Sound remains committed to its users during this transition. We will continue to honour the one-year email support included with all recently purchased software licenses and, where possible, provide incremental OS support updates until December 2025 to help ensure continued functionality. Support for enterprise clients will continue in accordance with existing contracts.

SADiE has long been a cornerstone of professional audio production, offering unmatched tools for mastering, broadcast radio, and high-end editing. While its software architecture now presents increasing challenges for modernization, its influence on the industry remains undeniable.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to the engineers, producers, and broadcasters who have relied on SADiE over the years. While this chapter is coming to a close, its impact on professional audio will endure. The expertise and innovation that shaped SADiE remain at the heart of what we do at Prism Sound, and while there are no immediate plans, we remain open to where the future might lead.

For any questions regarding existing SADiE systems, users can continue to reach out to Prism Sound for support and guidance.
